I want to clear some confusions about ismailies which came in my mind due to researching in other websites so kindly answer few of my questions
1. Why they don't offer Namaz?
2. Why ismailies do not perform Hajj?
3. Why they do not fast in the month of Holy Ramadan
4. A friend of mine who is ismaili told me that Imam is Allah in their religious studies they were told that Imam is Allah is that true?
5. Why ismaili do sajda for their Imam because in Muslim sajda (sajood) should be for Allah only.
6. For the forgiveness, fulfilness of wishes, for saving from trouble why they pray to Imam instead of Allah.
7. Ismaili says that Imam is Speaking Quran how is that possible? Quran is the book of Allah and Quran is the only complete book and if you are a muslim u must believe in Quran but ismailies don't believe in Quran.
Please reply me giving some example from Quran also so that i can clear my confusions and can gain some good knowledge about ismailism.
Ismailism
Sameer,
I’m sorry I can’t clear your confusion about Ismailism here, may be somebody else can, but I have to tell you, and I don’t mean to offend you by it, that I read all of your 7 questions and, first, they got me laughing and then…I felt bad…kinda exasperated as well.
To be honest with you, your questions pretty much don’t make sense in the context of clearing confusion or knowing about a faith…they are all pretty much wrong questions with wrong information. I think, this approach of comparison between different faith systems is most likely not going to clear your confusion but it might rather increase it. I have some Christian and Hindu friends who probably know more about Ismailism and respect it than what your questions are inquiring or implying about…
I think, first you need to neutralize your mind from what you already have or given by your own system…I am not asking you to give up on your beliefs at all, but just temporarily drop the positive or negative charges that are beyond the very basic of what is universal and mutually agreed upon by all Muslims if not all the human kind…then you should take the academic route instead of web gossiping or blogging and clogging…there would be other areas to get into with certain discipline...
Anyways, I gotta go for now, Good luck.

7 questions one answer. Imam is not Allah and someone who says this is doing Shirk but Imam's Noor is Allah's Noor and that answers everything. The imam of the time has this Noor and we pray to that Noor and nothing else.
I hope this answers all question. As far a Namaz is concern, we offer Dua which is Namaz in itself. In quran, there is not a single place where the word Namaz has used, instead, the word Salaat has been used which mean to ask (or pukarna) and thats what the meaning of dua is. And the timing of dua. Well, all muslims know that u can mix two namaz with the other three i.e., u can offer namaz-e-zuhr with fajr and asar with magrib. I dont have correct reference for that but i m sure it is right. u can confirm it with Scholars. so thats what we do. we mix teo prayers with that of 3 and offer salaat. the most impt thing in it is Rakaat or parts. All muslims do 17 parts a day which is necessary and ismailis do 18 parts a day so where is the difference. We start with Surah Fatiha and all muslims start with Surah Fatiha. we end with Surah Ikhlas and all muslims do that. You would confirm that Surah Ikhlas is the summary of Quran. so there is no difference in Namaz or Dua or Salaat. I hope this clears.
Second, Hajj or i would add another question in it. You must be thinking why ismailis dont face ka'aba while praying? So, do u know why muslims have been ordered to face kaaba? Do you know who was born in Kaaba? Hazrat Ali (SAW) so by means or no means, all muslims are facing Ali and that Noor is Allah. and we face that noor in our Jamat Khana. So if we believe that that Noor is Allah then if we see him spiritually, it means we have done hajj. I hope ur getting my point.
All the questions have one answer that Noor is Allah and we believe in that.
If its not clear please ask.

Ismaili's do believe in Quran.
Imam Ali once said..." Ana anatikha Quran, haddat Quran summut" (Please excuse my spelling) Which means...I am the talking Quran, the Quran that has come from the above is now quiet. The Quran is now complete but, what our Imam says is considered "The talking Quran"
The Quran had alot of changes after the Holy Prophet died. People such as Abu Bakr, Umar ibn al khattab and Uthman all wanted to be the leader. Abu Bakr, Umar and others all congragulated Imam Ali at Ghadir E Khum and once the Prophet died, everyone turned their backs on Imam Ali. as Ali has been declared: Sunni experts have advanced different illogical interpretations
They took out everything in the Quran that mentioned Imam Ali. Instead of Progeny, they changed it to Sunna...There were more changes made as well.
As soon as Ali was declared his successor, Allah sent a revelation to say that He had perfected the Prophet's religion and was pleased to name it Islam.
There is no word in the Quran that mentions "Namaz"
The Quran mentions "Salat" Salat means DUA.
Ismailism is a faith of the intellect. It does not encourage blind belief. Always remember that Ismailism is a faith of conviction and not convenience.
