Thought this was interesting actually: http://wahiduddin.net/words/forsaken.htm I'm not an expert in Aramaic (the language of Jesus) but it seems as if there is some possibility that he was actually saying "God, God (or Ali Ali) why have you spared me?" rather than "forsaken" whi...

Prayer by Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)

Oh Allah! I am your servant, son of Your male servant, and son of Your female servant; my forehead is in Your Hand; Your judgment is exact; Your decision about me is just; I ask You by every name of Yours which You have called Yourself, or revealed in a Book of Yours, or taught to any of Your servan...

Re: nadeali

YAM Irfan, You mentioned a tasbhi called 'YAA RABAL AABE GARDA....' Can you please elaborate on this? Do you have the full wording and meaning? I've been looking around for it, but no one seems to know what it is. I have heard that it is a powerful prayer as well. If you do not feel comfortable post...

I think that we should go to the funeral regardless of whether the person has committed suicide. It is not our place to judge him, only Allah can do that. Some people feel that if someone has committed suicide then the final ceremonies (ie. Madhan jo Chanta) shouldn't be done on them. But what if it...

Is it ironic that the Pope claims to be the sucessor of St. Peter (aka Simon Peter) the Imam during Jesus' time. We know that Hazar Imam is actually the successor of Simon Peter, so technically he is the rightful Pope.

Just an interesting thought.....

Remember Allah says in the holy Quran "Allah speaketh to mankind in allegories, for Allah is knower of all things." (24:35) Could this possibly mean that stories such a Noah's Ark may be based on historical fact but may be used in the Quran to express a deeper meaning? Ie. Allah has not me...

Are there any others?

YAM I was wondering if anyone had the full text of the Rub Bagarda prayer, and its meaning. It used to be said quite often but I have not heard it in a while. If it is not appropriate for this forum please email me. Also, can anyone provide the meaning of "Avala tu, akhera tu, zaher tu, batin t...

Aval Sufro & Khadakorakhi

YAM,

Can anyone explain the purposes of Aval Sufro and Khadakorakhi? Exerpts from Firmans and/or historical anecdotes would also be helpful.

Thank you.

Thank you, your explaination made a lot of sense. One more question for you though. The niaz that is given out in JK normally, isn't that originally Hazar Imam jo hath jo niaz that has just been "replenished" over and over? Or has water been blessed to make niaz by the mukhi kamadia on beh...
