What do these people do...?
I am non-Ismaili, so I would like to know. What do mukhisahebs, kamadia sahebs, etc do...? What rites do they perform and what exactly is their status in Ismaili religion?
According to the constitution:
"Article Eleven MUKHIS AND KAMADIAS
The appointment of Mukhis and Kamadias and their powers, duties, functions, term of office and other related matters shall be determined from time to time by Mawlana Hazar Imam."
In short they are the representatives of the Imam for the Jamat under consideration. They perform all the rites on behalf of the Imam. They accept the devotions and offerings and convey blessings on behalf of the Imam.
