Concept of Eternal Imamat by Pir Sadardin

In the Ginan “Aad to Alakh Agiyo Ramiyo”Pir Sadardin explains the concept of Eternal Imamat using the hundred years of life of the Universal Intellect. In our Ginanic literature, the word Brahma is used for Noor e Muhammad, or Universal Intellect.

In this Ginan, Pir Sadardin simplifies the concept of Eternal Imamat for the layperson. He provides a calculation of the number of Manifestations of Imam/Ali in relation to the hundred years of life of the Universal Intellect.

Manifestation of Noor e Imamat in 100 years of Brahma/Universal Intellect based on Pir Sadardin’s Ginan

1) 1 Ghari of Brahma/Universal Intellect (45 mins) = 9.72 million years

2) 1 Pahor of Brahma/Universal Intellect (6 hours) = 77.76 million years

180 Manifestations of Noor of Ali during this period

3) 1 Day of Brahma/Universal Intellect (4 Pahor) = 311.04 million years

720 Manifestations of Noor of Ali during this period

4) 1 Month of Brahma/Universal Intellect = 9.3312 billion years

21,600 Manifestations of Noor of Ali during this period

5) 1 year of Brahma/Universal Intellect = 111.9744 billion years

259,200 Manifestations of Noor of Ali during this period

6) 100 Years of Brahma = 11.19744 trillion years

259,020,000 Manifestations of Ali during this period

In 100 years of the life of the Universal Intellect, 259 million manifestations of the Noor of Imamat are said to have occurred.

According to this Ginan, each of these manifestations are 432,000 years apart. This means that from one manifestation to the next, there is a gap of 432,000 years, during which the lineal descendants of that manifestation appear. For example, from Imam Ali to the current Imam, we have 49 Imams, and we consider all of them to embody the Noor of Ali.

Similarly, over these 432,000 years, assuming each manifestation lasted 100 years, there would be 4,320 descendants between one manifestation and the next. Therefore, the total number of Imams over a period of 11.197 trillion years could potentially be 1.12 trillion (259 million x 4,320) manifestations of the Imam.

Finally, Pir Sadardin states that the age of Brahma (the Universal Intellect) is infinite, suggesting that the Universal Intellect is eternally created. This aligns with the Neoplatonic idea that God eternally creates the Universal Intellect. Thus, all the calculations by Pir Sadardin serve to help us grasp the concept of Eternal Imamat, meaning the Noor of Imamat or the Noor of Allah has been manifesting eternally (Noor an Ala Noor or Light upon Light).
