This section is on discussions about the Takhat on which the Imam seats. For example there is a photo of young Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah on a Takhat for his intronisation. There is an instance in Nairobi when the present Imam came to give Didar and instead of seating on the stage where a chair was waiting for him, he decided to seat on the Takhat in the back of the Jamat, forcing the Jamat to make a 180 degree turn towards him seating on the Takhat. I have shared below a Talika of 1966 which I have decided to share for its historical value and to dispel any misunderstanding about Imam's position vis a vis of Takhat matters..

I have come across a document that shows the immense happiness of the current Imam, Mowlana Shah Karim, about the new Takhat in Kisumu Jamatkhana.

3 years later, not only did Mowlana Shah Karim Aga Khan IV go to Kisumu to admire the Takhatat, but he gave didar on it by sitting on that Takhat.
