Noah's Ark

Post by star_munir »

All I need to know I learned from Noah's Ark...

One. Don't miss the boat.

Two. Remember that we are all in the same boat.

Three. Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

Four. Stay fit. When you're 600 years old someone may ask you to do something really big.

Five. Don't listen to critics, just get on with the job that needs to be done.

Six. Build your future on high ground.

Seven. For safety's sake, travel in pairs.

Eight. Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.

Nine. When you're stressed, float awhile.

Ten. Remember the Ark was built by amateurs, the Titanic by professionals.

Eleven. No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

Twelve. At the time of difficulties ask help from Mowla Ali.

THE HOLY PROPHET SAID THAT ,"THE EXAMPLE OF THE MEMBERS OF MY HOUSEHOLD AMONG YOU IS LIKE THE EXAMPLE OF NOAH'S ARK.WHO EVER BOARDS IT WILL ATTAIN SALVATION AND WHOEVER DOES NOT BOARDS IT WILL DROWN.

HAZRAT MOHAMMAD[PBUH] SAID THAT ,"WE SERVE AS THE ARK OF SALVATION WHOEVER HOLDS FAST TO THIS ARK WILL REACH SALVATION AND WHOEVER DEVIATED FROM IT WILL BE CAST INTO PREDITION.,WHOEVER WANTS ALLAH TO GRANT HIM SOME THING SHOULD RESORT TO THE AHL-E-BAYT.

The age of Hazrat Noah was 950 years.when most of people refused to accept true religion ,he made boat by the order of God. God wanted to punish disbelievers. The boat reached at Koh-e-judi and that was the day of Navroz i.e 21 March.
In 1952-1953,at mountain of Kohe kaaf,Kohe judi where ark of Hazrat Noah was reached, some blocks of wood were discovered which were parts of Noah's Ark. In one wooden block some thing was written,The experts researched for 8 months and than they were succesful to know what was written in it.
It was written in Samni language which was language of Hazrat Sam. Hazrat Ali said that I myself was Sam. All experts agreed that ,that wooden block was used as flag.It was written on it that,

"OH, MY GOD,MY HELPER,KEEP MY HAND WITH MERELY WITH YOUR HOLY BODY

I read this article from a website and wanted to share with you
In July 1951, while a group of Soviet archaeologists were digging in an area in the valley of "KIEV", they discovered a scattered pieces of ancient wood, touched by the woodworm. This great discorvery made them to dig deeper and deeper, till they discovered another group of stony ancient wood that were further deep in the earth. A block of wood in the shape of a square 14 knots long and 10 knots wide. What made those archaeologistspuzzeled most, was the unchangable shape, the ineffectual of woodworm and it did not scatter like the other pieces of wood.

In later 1952, the investigation regarding the archeological group of ancient wood, had completed. They had concluded that the above-mentioned blook of wood was part of Prophet's Noah ark. They'd observed some letters engraved which goes back to the most ancient language that ever evolved on the surface of the earth.

In 1953 the digging operations had finished and the Russian government had formed a committe of seven scientists (archeologist, linguistic), some of which are:
1. Sawlot Naoev, professor at Moscow University.
2. Tanmova Kourov, professor of Linguistics at Kevenzo College.
3. De Racon, professor of Archeology at Lenin institute.
4. Mr. Taumol Goru, Teacher, Cafezud College
5. Major Cottor, Stalin College.
6. Mr. M. Ahmed Colad,Zitcomen Research Association
7. Prof. Ifa Han Kheeno, Lu Lu Han College China
and others
After eight months of research and study of that block of wood and the letters engraved upon it, they agreed that this block of wood was made of the same material which prophet Noah's ark was made of and that Prophet Noah (PBUH) had placed this block of wood in his ark for blessings and protection during his journey with his companions and family during the Flood. The lettere engraved upon the block of wood were in the Semitic Language which was translated into English by the British scientist; Aief Max , professor of ancient tongue at Manchester University, England. The letters states the following:
"Oh my God, my Helper, in Your mercy and generosity help me, and for the sake of these holy souls: Muhammed, Elia, Shoppar, Shappair, Fatimah who are all great and blessed. The Universe is there for them, help me for their names. Only you can quide us to the straight path".
It's obvious dear reader that Elia, Shoppar, Shappair are names in the Semitic language and their Arabic rendering is: Ali, Hassan, Husayn.

The mysterious and ambiguous thing which the committee couldn't explain or understand were, that it did not scatter or turn out stoney like others, despite the fact that thousands of years had passed upon it.

Dear Reader: at the "Museum of Archeology", in Moscow, Russia this can be seen and observed. So many people have witnesed the piece of wood. If you happen to visit or travel to Russia, pay a visit to that place to see by your own eyes the greatness of these names. And to know that the Prophet of Islam was mentioned in the Torah and the Bible thousands of years ago.
The translation was documented in the following newspapers:
1. Weekly-Mirror: UK, 28/12/53
2. Star of Britain: London, 1/54
3. Manchester Sunlight: Manchester, 23/1/54
4. London Weekly Mirror: 1/2/54

Noah's Ark a true story or not

Questions with answers

Q Is it a really true story or just a story with symbolical meanings?

It is true historical event.

Q Was Ark big enough to hold all kinds of animals?

It is in Bible that
And God said unto Noah... Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt though make in the ark, and thou shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of... the length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A window shalt thou make in the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side therof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it." (Gen. 6:14-16)

There are one million kind of species in this world. However, the vast majority of these are capable of surviving in water and would not need to be brought aboard the ark. Noah need make no provision for the 21,000 species of fish or the 1,700 tunicates (marine chordates like sea squirts) found throughout the seas of the world, or the 600 echinoderms including star fish and sea urchins, or the 107,000 mollusks such as mussels, clams and oysters, or the 10,000 coelenterates like corals and sea anemones, jelly fish and hydroids or the 5,000 species of sponges, or the 30,000 protozoans, the microscopic single-celled creatures.
In addition, some of the mammals are aquatic. For example, the whales, seals and porpoises. The amphibians need not all have been included, nor all the reptiles, such as sea turtles, and alligators. Moreover, a large number of the arthropods numbering 838,000 species, such as lobsters, shrimp, crabs and water fleas and barnacles are marine creatures. And the insect species among arthropoda are usually very small. Also, many of the 35,000 species of worms as well as many of the insects could have survived outside the Ark.
there are really only a few very large animals, such as the dinosaur or the elephant, and these could be represented by young ones

Q How could Noah's family could take care of all those animals?

Once aboard, many have suggested that Noah's problems really began, with only 8 people to feed and water, to provide fresh air and sanitation for the huge menagerie of animals for a total of 371 days. However, a number of scientists have suggested that the animals may have gone into a type of dormancy. It has been said that in nearly all groups of animals there is at least an indication of a latent ability to hibernate or aestivate. Perhaps these abilities were supernaturally intensified during this period. With their bodily functions reduced to a minimum, the burden of their care would have been greatly lightened.
The Ark was a very large ship designed especially by God for its important purpose. It was so large and complex that it took Noah 120 years to build. Noah used this time to warn people about the Flood and convince them to turn to God and be saved with his familyThe Ark had plenty of room for all the animals

including the dinosaurs Noah did not have to go out and find the animals. God brought each Young dinosaurs would be small and easier to care for and would use less food. It would have been foolish to fill up space on the Ark with the oldest biggest adults.

Q Do you think that dinosaurs extinct soon after that storm and rain?

After the Flood, many parts of the world became too harsh for the dinosaurs. No longer did the earth have the same great forests of huge, nutritious plants. It would have been hard for the dinosaurs to locate enough food as they got bigger and bigger.
It was not just the dinosaurs that died off. Great numbers of creatures have become extinct in the thousands of years since the Flood In the last
350 years alone, almost 400 species have disappearedAncient peoples all over the world have told of unusual, reptile-like creatures that once roamed the earth. There were many different types, both large and small. And there were many different names for them. The ancient people of Europe called them "dragons." Many ancient descriptions of dragons sound similar to dinosaurs.
The ancient, original "dragon" legends must have come from memories of dinosaurs. Scientists agree that legends are almost always based on facts, not just pure imagination. It cannot be an accident that so many separate peoples of the world tell such stories. Dragon" legends and pictures can be found in Africa, India, Europe, the Middle East, the Orient and every other part of the world. Dinosaur-like animals have been drawn, written about and told about since the beginning of recorded history. Such a great event as Noah's Flood would surely have left evidence to be found today. For instance, one would expect to find billions of dead creatures buried by water in mud and sand (now hardened to rock). And that is exactly what scientists do find around the world.

Many terrestrial seeds can survive long periods of soaking in various concentrations of salt water. Many plants could have survived as planned food stores on the ark The olive leaf brought back to Noah by the dove shows that plants were regenerating well before Noah and company left the ark.

Q The whole earth was covered with the Flood waters, and the world that then existed was destroyed by the very waters out of which the earth had originally emerged at God's command. But where did those waters go after the flood?
There are a number of Scripture passages that identify the flood waters with the present-day seas.

Q If the waters are still here, why are the highest mountains not still covered with water, as they were in Noah's day?

After the waters covered the mountains , God rebuked them and they fled the mountains rose, the valleys sank down and God set a boundary so that they will never again cover the earth . That is why the oceans are so deep, and why there are folded mountain ranges. Indeed, Quite clearly, then, the waters of Noah's Flood are in today's ocean basins.

Q Mount Everest is more than 5 miles (8 kilometers) high. How, then, could the flood have covered "all the high hills under the whole heaven?

The Bible refers only to "high hills," and the mountains today were formed only toward the end of, and after, the flood by collision of the tectonic plates and the associated upthrusting. In support of this, the layers that form the uppermost parts of Mount Everest are themselves composed of fossil-bearing, water-deposited layers.

Remember Allah says in the holy Quran "Allah speaketh to mankind in allegories, for Allah is knower of all things." (24:35)

Could this possibly mean that stories such a Noah's Ark may be based on historical fact but may be used in the Quran to express a deeper meaning? Ie. Allah has not meant for us to take the story as historical fact but as story we can learn from.

There was a recent story on the Discovery Channel exploring this very idea. It suggested that the area flooded by God was not the whole world, rather it was a specific area. At the beginning of civilization, human population was only found in a few specific areas. So flooding the whole "world" to remove the sinners would have been unnecessary. Rather a relatively small area could have been flooded instead, removing the sinners from this world.

Logically this makes more sense, as there would have been a lot less animals to deal with. This also allows for a smaller Ark, as it hardly makes sense that Prophet Noah could have built an ark bigger than the size of today's Aircraft Carriers with only wood.

I guess what i'm trying to say is to try look between the lines. Instead of trying to make religious stories fit with known history, lets try to ask ourselves what do these stories teach us.

Problem:By the days of Noah there were not enough people on the earth to require a worldwide flood

Answer: I estimate By the days of Noah there were not enough people on the earth to require a worldwide floodthat 12 to 15 generations had been born on the earth by the time of the flood. (Genesis chapter 5 tells us that Noah was the ninth generation from Adam.) Easily, there could have been a billion people alive on the earth by the 600th birthday of Noah

Problem:The flood was only a local flood and not worldwide.

Answer: I see two major problems with the local flood theories. You cannot cover the highest mountains with water for several months if the flood was only regional. (Gen. 7:20). Secondly, and even more significant is the covenant which God made after the Flood. God promised, "Never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth." (Gen. 9:11). If the flood of Noah was merely a local flood, then God would have broken that promise hundreds of times since then. Other problems include that a population as large as one billion would not likely be contained within a single valley that would be amenable to local flooding. Besides, some people and animals could have simply gone to higher ground as happens during local flooding today. Even if the world's human population was not widely spread, nothing would have kept the birds and all the animals confined within that local flood area. Genesis 7:21-23 says that all creatures outside the Ark who lived on the land were destroyed. I also object to the possibility of a local flood because God could have merely instructed Noah and his family, along with the animals to be saved, to migrate out of the area that would be flooded.

Noah made boat/ark in approximately 120 years. It is said that present form of continents is due to that storm and rain.

Dinosaurs extinguished from the world also after that.

Before that azab [storm and heavy rain] there was same climate and weather every where on the earth thats why fossils of thousands of elephants of hot region were found in coldest area of Siberia

The many sightings of Noah's Ark

Herald News Services

June 19, 2005

In the context of a new Noah's Ark expedition to eastern Turkey, Baptist Press News offers some sightings from Ron Stewart's book, Noah's Ark:

A Scientific Look, Past And Future. Among Stewart's list of 100:

475 BCE -- A Chaldean priest reports seeing the Ark's remains at the bottom of a mountain glacier.

30 BCE -- Egyptian historian Hieronimus says the Ark's remains can be seen on Mt. Ararat.

50 CE -- Nicholas of Damascus and Flavius Josephus both report the Ark's remains are preserved in their time.

560 -- St. Isadore reports seeing the wood of the Ark on Mt. Ararat.

620 -- After conquering Armenia, Byzantine Emperor Heraclius reportedly climbs Ararat and sees the Ark.

1269 -- Explorer Marco Polo reports seeing the Ark after a three-day climb in "the snowy reaches" -- at the bottom of the summit, not its peak.

1647 -- Explorer Adam Olerius reports seeing its petrified remains.

1829 -- Frederick Parrot reports Ark relics in a church at Ararat's base, later destroyed in an 1840 earthquake.

1832-1850 -- Expeditions from Russia, Turkey and England fail to find it.

1856 -- Two British scientists climb Ararat to disprove the Ark, but report a "chest-like" shape of petrified wood at 15,000 feet on Ararat's northeast side.

1887 -- Indian explorer John Nouri locates the Ark and recommends recovering it for the 1900 World's Fair.

1917 -- Ark photos and measurements are taken by a Russian expedition, but lost when the czar topples.

1945 -- A Turkish pilot claims to have photographed the Ark.

1949 -- Aerial photos show a formation resembling a ship with dimensions fitting the Bible story.

1990 -- Laser enhancement of satellite photo reportedly shows a boxlike shape, broken in half.

This tells us a great deal about the exaggeration of biblical dates. If there were only 9 generations than we are talking of only between 150 - 200 years between the two prophets.

It would not be too wrong to assume that the timeframe since Adam to Muhammad would be around 1400 years compatible with the period of kaljug after Budh Avataar.

Noah`s Ark flood led to European farming
London, Nov 19: An ancient flood some say could be the origin of the story of Noah`s Ark may have helped the spread of agriculture in Europe 8,300 years ago by scattering the continent`s earliest farmers, researchers said on Sunday.

Using radiocarbon dating and archaeological evidence, a British team showed the collapse of the North American ice sheet, which raised global sea levels by as much as 1.4 meters, displaced tens of thousands of people in southeastern Europe who carried farming skills to their new homes.

The researchers said in the journal Quaternary Science Reviews their study provides direct evidence linking the flood that breached a ridge keeping the Mediterranean apart from the Black Sea to the rise of farming in Europe.

"The flooding of the Black Sea was not well dated but we got it down to about 50 years," said Chris Turney, a geologist at the University of Exeter, who led the study. "As soon as the flooding is done, farming goes crazy across Europe."

The researchers created reconstructions of the Mediterranean and Black Sea shoreline before and after the rise in sea levels. They estimated the flood covered some 73,000 square kilometers over a 34-year period, causing mass displacement of people.

Previous archaeological evidence has shown communities in the region were already farming when the flood hit. The Exeter team suggests the mass migration caused a sudden expansion of farming and pottery production across the continent.

"We looked at all the earliest data on farming in Europe and we found a little bit of farming in Greece and the Balkans just before the flood," Turney said in a telephone interview. "When the flood happened, farming seemed to stop but it was re-established a generation later across Europe."

The researchers believe these people took their skills to new areas previously populated by hunters and gatherers where there had been no evidence of farming, Turney said.

The study also underscores the potential impact rising sea levels may have in the future, the researchers said. An expected one meter rise by the end of the century due to climate change would displace some 145 million people, Turney added.

It also paints a picture of the kind of mass disruption that has prompted some scientists to link the ancient flood to the origins of the biblical story of Noah`s Ark, Turney said.

"When the Black Sea flooded at end of last ice age some people have suggested it was the origins of the Noah`s Ark myth," he said. "If you lived in that basin it would have seemed like the whole world had flooded."

Interesting story but Noah appeared much later, hence if the date stated is accurate as determined, then it cannot be the Flood.

A Noah’s Ark in Kentucky, Dinosaurs Included

VIDEO at:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/26/us/no ... n-ham.html

WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky. — In the beginning, Ken Ham made the Creation Museum in northern Kentucky. And he saw that it was good at spreading his belief that the Bible is a book of history, the universe is only 6,000 years old, and evolution is wrong and is leading to our moral downfall.

And Mr. Ham said, let us build a gargantuan Noah’s ark only 45 minutes away to draw millions more visitors. And let it be constructed by Amish woodworkers, and financed with donations, junk bonds and tax rebates from the state of Kentucky. And let it hold an animatronic Noah and lifelike models of some of the creatures that came on board two-by-two, such as bears, short-necked giraffes — and juvenile Tyrannosaurus rexes.

And it was so.

Mr. Ham’s “Ark Encounter,” built at a cost of more than $102 million, is scheduled to open on July 7 in Williamstown, Ky. Mr. Ham and his crew have succeeded in erecting a colossal landmark and an ambitious promotional vehicle for their particular brand of Christian fundamentalism, known as “young earth” or “young universe” creationism.

Bible: Explorers Claim They've Discovered Noah's Ark From Book of Genesis

More than 100 international researchers recently convened for a three-day symposium to discuss new evidence that the Biblical ark from the Book of Genesis made landfall at Mount Ararat in Turkey, according to the Nation. One "ark hunter" in particular believe he’s found the ark’s final resting place.

“The result of my findings will be published in books, publications and journals, but at this point it is too early to know what we are going to find,” Raul Esperante of the Geoscience Research Institute said, according to the Nation. “Once the scientific community knows about the existence of Noah’s Ark in Mount Ararat, we can make it available to the general public.”

In 2010, evangelical Chinese and Turkish researchers claimed to have found wooden remnants from an “ark-like” structure around 13,000 feet up Agri Mountain, the highest peak in Turkey, according to the Nation.

They said that carbon dating had revealed the wood to be around 4,800 years old, which conceivably places it in the same historical period as when the flood was said to have occurred. Esperante asked for funds to be able to continue that work, according to the Nation.

'Noah's Ark' has been unearthed by archaeologists

'Noah's Ark' has been unearthed by archaeologists

Researchers from universities in Turkey and the United States believe they may have found the ruins of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat, the highest mountain in Turkey.

The biblical account tells of God instructing Noah to build an ark to spare his family and pairs of animals from an incoming flood.

Noah's Ark is said to have come to rest on the mountains of Ararat following a 150-day flood about 5,000 years ago.

Now, researchers believe they've found human activity near the boat-shaped formation from between 5500 and 3000 BC.

“In terms of dating, it is stated that there was life in this region as well,” Faruk Kaya, AICU vice rector professor, says, according to The Daily Mail.

“This was revealed in the laboratory results.”
However, this does not prove the accuracy of the Biblical account.

Archaeologists have reaffirmed multiple times that the formation is natural and not the result of a shipwreck.

There is also no geologic record of a global flood such as the one described in religious texts. And whilst some people believe that a local flood may have been possible, this has also been debated.

"With the dating, it is not possible to say that the ship is here,” Kaya, told Turkish news publication Hurriyet. “We need to work for a long time to reveal this.

In the next period, we agreed to carry out a joint study under the leadership of ITU, Andrew University and AICU. Three universities will continue their work in this field in the future.”
