My family lived in Kampala from 1964-1968, and I have fond memories of a
fellow who ran a store. The only name I have is Sadru, but I do not know if
that would be a first or last name ( I am white and am not sure how Sadru
would have been addressed by my family and their friends). I Do know that
after the expulsion from Uganda, Sadru ended up in Vancouver or that area of
British Columbia.
I was reminded of the best bubblegum I ever had when I began editing the
memoirs of Dr. Sham Merali, whom I met when he and my now brother-in-law
came to Canada as refugees. Sham thought it would be interesting to see if
we could find Sadur or his family/descendants, and that is why I am sending
this message.
