Ali's name in Salwat
Why salwat doesn't carry Ali's name but we usually recite it when Ali's name is called?
I think Salwaat is applicable whenever names of all the Imams are called. It is not restricted to Ali. Hnece it is better and efficient to say "the progeny of Muhammad" instead of mentioning all the names.

Re: Ali's name in Salwat
Quran says," Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings on Nabi(Prophet). O, ye who believe send salwat and salam (blessings and salutations) on Prophet[email protected] wrote:Why salwat doesn't carry Ali's name but we usually recite it when Ali's name is called?
with worthy salams (salutations). 33/56.
After revealation of this ayat companions of Prophet started saying," ALLAHUMMA SALL E 'ALA MUHAMMAD". When Prophet heard this, he said to them," LA
TUSSALU'ALAYYA SALATAN BATRAAI". Means you should not say," DUM BURIDAH SALWAT", tail cut (a person without siblings) un complete salwat. Prophet taught
companions to say," ALLAHUMMA SALL E 'ALA MUHAMMADIYU(N) WA 'AALE MUHAMMAD". Prophet made compulsory to say salwat after 'ataihaat' in salat(namaz). In
Arabic the word salwat(salat) has many meanings like, Du'a, namaz, Rahmat, naimat, prayers. Mowla Ali was raised and brought up by Prophet Muhammad. He
always treated Mowla Ali like his son. By the way son in law is also called the son. According to event of MUBAHALA, Quran says," If any one disputes in
this matter with you, after knowledge has come to you, say' come let us Gather together our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and
yourselves; then earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie". 3/61. After revealation of this ayat prophet Muhammad took Mowla Ali ,
Bibi Fatimah, Hazrat Hassan, and Hazrat Hussain with him fot Mubahala. So Mowla Ali was like son of Prophet according to ayat 3/61. MSMS said," I am the
decendant of Prophet and my grand father is Hazrat Amirul Mu'mineen and my grand mother is Khatoon i Janat Hazrat Bibi Fatimah. (Sep 1,1885; Bombay).
Hence Mowla Ali is included in salwat. The Proof is when Imam comes for didaar we recite salwat.
In a farman Hazar Imam said, Du'a is the foundation of our Tariqa". On many occasions, in many countries he has emphasized to learn the meaning of Du'a
and its philosophy. Now, please read the last paragraph of first part of Du'a. I quote," ALLAHUMMA SALL E 'ALA MUHAMADINIL MUSTAFA WA 'ALA ALIYYINIL
MURTADHA WA 'ALIL A'IMMATIL ATHAAR WA 'ALA HUJJATIL AMR SAHEBIZZAMAN E WAL 'ASAR IMAMINIL HADHRIL MOUJUD MOWLANA SHAH KARIMIL HUSSAINI".
MEANING: YA ALLAH SHOWER YOUR BLESSINGS ON MUHAMMAD MUSTAFA AND ON ALI MURTAZA AND ON PURE IMAMS AND ON THE HUJJAT(PROOF) AND AMR AND ON MASTER OF TIME
AND AGE AND ( SHOWER YOUR BLESSINGS ) ON PRESENT IMAM SHAH KARIM AL HUSSAINI. This above paragraph of Du'a which we say three time daily is a proof that
Ali/Imam is included in salwat.
The Dua is the zaheri statement of our faith and is accessible to non-Ismailis as well.[email protected] wrote:what about the patras before Ali ?
The Patras before Aly represent the batin and hence they are not recited in the present Dua.However you can consider them in the category of the Imams the Pure in the first part.

We consider only Ali's Noor.[email protected] wrote:Do we consider the whole Noorani family or just Ali's Noor?
Musa Kazim was Imam's family. So was Musteali. They took the rightful place of our Imams in the minds of millions. So being family of Imam does not garanty anything.

It may be unknown to most Ismailis, but it is not inaccessible. Whoever seeks will find it. They just have to get into the sites such as this one.[email protected] wrote:Batin concept is unknown to most ismailis. Don't you think?
