getting married and want to submit mehmani in aiglmont
Hi so i am getting married soon next june (2015) and we will be going to france for our honey moon. Since we are so close to aiglemont me and my fiance was wondering if there is a way to submit a personal mehmani and ask for an audiance with mowla bapa.....i know it used to be common in the olden days but it has become very uncommon now....I realize i cant just show up in aiglamont cause not only is it rude but against our practice to just show up where mowla is residing....was wondering if a request can be made and if so how....i have asked council and they arent giving me a proper reply

While it can give you physical satisfaction if/when you see Maula, but spiritual satisfaction can only be achieved, when one truly from the bottom of his heart calls Maula, and I personally don't believe in seeing Maula physically, because HE is closer to us than our jugular vein. He can listen to what we ask. And He may answer our questions in his own way, which we may not even know.imranramji2011 wrote:Hi so i am getting married soon next june (2015) and we will be going to france for our honey moon. My compliments to you for your faith. While it can give you physical satisfaction if/when you see Maula, but spiritual satisfaction can only be achieved, when one truly from the bottom of his heart calls Maula, and I personally don't believe in seeing Maula physically, because HE is closer to us than our jugular vein. Alas lot of Muslims do not have faith in Allah being "closer to us than our jugular vein. He can listen to what we ask. And He may answer our questions in his own way, which we may not even know."
I am not sure if you truly are complementing or is it another sarcasm of yours? If it's a complement, then thank you for understanding of "Wasilah"/"Tawasul" [Intermediary]. But, if it was a sarcasm, then let me give you a bit of description and you can go do some research in your own sunnah, which is also accepted by our sunnie brothers as well, the concept of "Wasilah"zznoor wrote:My compliments to you for your faith. While it can give you physical satisfaction if/when you see Maula, but spiritual satisfaction can only be achieved, when one truly from the bottom of his heart calls Maula, and I personally don't believe in seeing Maula physically, because HE is closer to us than our jugular vein. Refer to Surah an-Nisa, 4:64, where the concept of Wasilah/Tawasul is emphasized. You can ask directly Allah or you can ask the through an intermediary [The Prophet or His rightful successor which is the Imam of the Time].
To God it's favorable and preferable to ask through THE intermediary. Please do some research in your own faith [sunnah] and you'll find the same answer.

what is the proper channel the council? If so they have refused to take any of my letters to mowla? I have heard many people emailing hazir imam or mailing a letter directly to him...unfortunately I have netheir the email or the addressAdmin wrote:Write to Hazar Imam and send through proper channel. He reads all the letters addressed to him, even those which do not arrive to him. Just send your letter. The important thing is not to get an answer, it is to make a request.

there is something i don't understand here.Admin wrote:Give the letter to your Mukhi and tell him it is for Hazar Imam. The Council will not refuse him to send your letter.
During Imam's physical absence, Mukhi accepts mehmani on behalf of the Imam.
Now this person is going to a region nearby Imam's physical presence.
But not in the presence of Imam Himself.
so why would Mukhi not accept his mehmani on behalf of the Imam and instead send his letter to the imam to accept his mehmani physically ?

Re: getting married and want to submit mehmani in aiglmont
I am very happy to inform my brothers and sisters that me and my wife were able to fulfill our dreams of seeing MHI. It has just been 24 hours since our mulakat and I would like to narrate my story to you. Me and my wife got married approximately one month ago. We were despirately trying to get a personal mehmani offer before we went on our honeymoon to Hawaii. Unfortunatly we were having a difficult time because the council nor the mukhis would take our letter. There reasoning wasnt because they were not allowed to but my wife had not converted to ismaili faith yet and it was just not possible for such a meeting to happen (she is going through classes). 2 or 3 weeks before we were supposed to leave for France my wife said "honey besides going to hawaii why do we not just go to France and we can be near aigloment. If it is mowla's wish we will see him". At this my heart skipped a beat and we started our visa process to France and our honey moon got delayed by a bit but we have been in France since april the 15th. We reserved our hotel not to far away from aiglemont. Our first stop was of course to aiglemont to see if we could arrange something with the secretary. The secretary at that point was extremely rude and said sorry you cannot meet his HIGHNESS. He does not like to meet at such short notice. I was very disappointed but my wife said if we are patient we will meet him. We in the mean time were touring the area and praying that we could atleast get a glimpse of him if not a formal meeting. Finally the auspicious day came yesterday at 7 am. A heave knock on the door. I told my wife who the hell could be knocking at the door this early in the morning....I was already quit upset because we only had 2-3 days left (the trip has been extended will get to it) to be in France. I personally had given up hope but my wife hadnt. My wife said i dont know let m go look. My wife went to open the door and brought a letter inside that was just taped to the door. At this I was very suprised i am like who do we know here. My wife was like should we open it and i say sure what could be wrong. And behold we were formally invited to aiglemont in the afternoon. My heart skipped a beat and i was like is this some kind of joke. My wife just shook her head no this is what it says honey. At this i jumped off the bed and i was like omg we have so much to do. We quickly prepared the mehmani plate. My wife spoke up did your mom not say that mowla like kemah samosa at on point. I said yes but honey do you think you can make it. My wife is like why not we do have a kitchen where i can give it a shot. My wife started the preparation for that...Soon it was time for the meeting. I got ready really fast and my wife was trying to put on a sari to be more cultural so she could cover her hair in from of hazir imam. We finally got ready and made our way towards the resident. As we entered the front door we meet the secretary that had been rude to us and the secretary apologized for the rudeness and asked us to wait in the hall and you will be summoned. My wife and i waited for a while and finally the time came when we were guided inside the room to meet kudahwadin. At this time we had a plate of fruit and samosa on a silver tray. We slowly entered the room head bowed in humbleness and hazir imam was sitting on a chair with a big smile on his face. we just stood there until he said come foward and let me see what you have brought in for me. we slowly made our way towards hazir and presented the mehmani which mowla put his hands on top of and said i accept this and we put it down on the center table. He then said have a seat. He then said Imran why are tears coming out of your eyes. Have i hurt you in any ways. I stumbled and said no mowla these are tears of joy and happiness. he smiled and gave his best loving blessing. He went onto say I am sorry I could not meet you earlier in your visit but I was certainly busy. I did not mean to make you wait for such a long time. My wife looked at me confused and wishpered how did he know that we were hear in which hazir imam replied sarah the IMAM knows everything. We had a wonderful 1 and a half mulaqat . In this time mowla did eat one of the samosa my wife made and told her this is just delicious my children spoil me way to much looking at both of us lovingly. Then he said I would love to spend more time with you but right now it is not possible but how about later tonight. In which we got to spend another 1 and a half with our beloved kudahwand. During the second visit the ginan sahib ji mana moro bhavah was recited and Sarah's name was offically changed to salima.
Congratulation brother for your meeting with MHI and your marriage.
Indeed your story is very interesting, I read it with keen interest which usually I do not do but after reading your all story two questions arises in my mind
1, Which religion Sarah was belongs to before your marriage?
2, Did MHI really told you that "Imam knows every thing"!!!?? sister ZZNoor are you listening me? sorry reading this!

I first questioned the motive. If it was physical pleasure and satisfaction of seeing the Imam in person (physical), then yes I understand, and it would be a cool story to tell in a cocktail party. On the other hand, if the motive was to be inspired spiritually, then I really don't believe as an ismailie, that physically meeting with Imam would be really necessary.
Between the lines, something doesn't really add up. May be I am too cynic, I don't know. But here is what I noticed. Pay close attention to the following that I quoted. The dates of marriage, the places of honeymoon.
I don't know for OP, but for me(and I believe for anyone), date of marriage is really important and is picked up quit in advanc. If I pick up a date in 2015, I am not sure if you can change it to be in the next 3 months? Unless there's really really something unrgent.
- June 2015
- around March 21 (since no date is given)
- honey moon (france)
- honey moon (hawaii)

Could be. Or could be not. To me, when one says "next june", it could very well mean next year's june. And "this june" means this year's june. Again, maybe I am too cynic.
Like I stated, the initial intention of "meeting the Imam just for physical matter", doesn't seem genuine, as an Ismailie. Add the fact of inconsistency, the whole story is kind of off. Anyways, it's just my observation.

A) you don't just post in a doctrine section of a forum, about this event.
B) I would have a genuine story.
C) pay close attention to the verbiage, spelling etc... such as the following:
hazir Imam, Maula, etc... (capitalized vs lower case). I know it's not a big deal, but it shows your respect and Iman towards Maula.
D) pay close attention to his tone of language, the way he narrates the story. It appears that his "so-called" wife has more conviction that himself. In reality it should have been totally the other way around.
He's been shy twice to make any comments about what I said. That certainly says something.
And finally, I really doubt that Maula has spare time of 3 hours to spend with newly we'd ti talk about their honeymoon.
If that doesn't seem a cooked up story then what is.
It is your faith. There are many events in the life of MHI which will prove that he is not all knowing.agakhani wrote:

Tret you bring valid points. Yes my marriage was supposed to be until next month but me and my wife as of now made silly mistakes (i am sure you know what i am talking about) and had to push everything forward very quickly. So we did it last month. Secondly yes we were supposed to go to Hawwaii but on my wife's request we changed our destination.tret wrote:I first questioned the motive. Also about your comment about physical satisfaction and spiritual satisfaction well it is both. Physical and spiritual satisfaction. Spiritual because this kind of mehmani is once is a life time!!!!!!!

To response of A) you dont post this kind of story in a doctrine forum.....well there was a topic already about my mehmani and the admin has asked to keep all relating topics on one thread and i am abiding by that B) i really dont know what you mean by it C) pay close attention to verbiage and spelling. Well first of all how do you know i am fluent in english (to let you know my first language is urdu and i am gradually learning english with my wife's help). Secondly about capitalization well again when i wrote this it was very early in the morning first of all my good sir and secondly I was on my phone and typing really quickly and hence spelling mistakes and capitalizations will make a BIG DIFFERENCE because of auto correct. D) my wife has more conviction then me. I must say she does. She has rememberized more ginans then i ever have by heart and this is not uncommon. You would be suprised that there are tons of ismailis out there that have more conviction then regular ismailis and they get mowla's didar much often then we regular ismailis (yes i know how sad).tret wrote:I don't know about others, but I have my own observations.imranramji2011 wrote:1. she belonged to Christianityagakhani wrote:Congratulation brother for your meeting with MHI and your marriage.

First of all how do you know Mowla talked about our honeymoon. For I did not mention anything about what mowla said!!!!!!!!!! And Mowla has time for every murid. He makes time!!!!!!!

Just because there are many events in the life of MHI which will prove that he is not all knowing does not mean he is does not know everything..... K that is a good question znoor and it deserves an explanation!!!!!! First Hazir Imam's job is not to interfere in the natural order of things. His job is to guide the jamat according to the time they are in.zznoor wrote:If I knew my father is going to die in auto accident, I would make sure he does not drive that evening, would you?Just because there are many events in the life of MHI which will prove that he is not all knowing does not mean he is does not know everything..... Let me ask you a simpler question. I am sure you would agree that Allah knows every thing past, present and future. Why does then Allah allow horrible things in the world happen? Apply this to Mowla. Remember Mowla is the NOOR of ALLAH.
Ya Ali madad.
It does happen with a real intention wish ( not asking for the moon) get fulfilled of the momin.
It happened with me.
In 1983 during march ,we visited Karachi,Pakistan for Didar.
There was the Aga Khan University Charter event.where every Ismaili
was trying to get pass to attend the event.
I was fourth in queue in chances to attend the event,an outside rare chance.
Firstly was a couple of fair donor amount the original invitee n after
my cousin n his wife,if they did not land up. and his brother,3 of them
against no show of the two.
That morning suddenly I get a call just 45 minutes before the event
that I could come as one pass is there(out of two).
The donor couple from Dallas did not come to Pakistan,my relative wife got sick and his brother was taken to police station for banging somebody while riding the motor bike all in span of few hours of the morning.
As I has sincerely asked ALI to witness the event
I got my wished fulfilled not only that.
we had some cream colored passes. There were different colour passes
for seating arrangemenst.
In spite of a cream colour pass. Some time hypnotizing does help, all the checkers.Three level before I reached the blue level seating 3rd row after
ViP's n dignitaries.
I was surprised that three officers saw my pass as "blue' directed me there.
I heard the speech as also saw MHI looking at our side many many times smiling. He know my soul's bio data n linkage to him from ages past.
For me it was an internal communication.
I wishing him best for sounding the bugle for new Fatimid era.
He in turn wishing me a Happy Birthday.
It was the best birthday gift and memory I will never forget.
