The World Partnership Walk is an annual event held across Canada to build awareness and raise funds in the fight against global poverty. This popular outing is a collaborative effort of Canadians from all walks of life - families, friends, co-workers and community groups helping to improve the lives of the world's poor and disadvantaged.

Since its beginning in 1985, the Walk has raised more than $20 million, with every cent going to far-reaching development projects in Asia and Africa. Funds raised through the World Partnership Walk are matched by the Canadian government through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) - multiplying this unique contribution to help relieve human suffering.

The World Partnership Walk is a non-denominational initiative of Aga Khan Foundation Canada. The Foundation finds smart solutions to pressing problems in the areas of health, education, rural development and the enhancement of community-based organizations in the poorest countries of Asia and Africa.
