DID ISLAM SPREAD BY THE SWORD OR NOT?

DID YOU KNOW THAT?

Many other religious people believes that Islam was spread by the sword, but no, Islam was not spread by the sword. It was spread by the word of truth and the example of its followers.
Islam teaches that there is no compulsion in religion. (the Holy Qur’an 2:256 and 10:99)

Interesting!! most peoples ( non-Muslims) believes that Islam was spread by the swords, they usually give example of Hazarat Umar, who declared war against inocent peoples on same day he was choosen as second caliph and send Islamic army and killed thousand and thousand innocent peoples who were way far from Medina they didn't oppose Islam and Prophet Mohammad. Read the history of Hazarat Umar.
