Cosmic Rays comes this time

Post by agakhani »

Because 4 a.m. you do not have to go school or at work, you do not have to worry about your routine daily work e.t.c. at that time you are totaly free from any kind daily burden. This time atmoshphere around you are very quiet which help you to concentrate more in your bol.
Also this time cosmic/Norani rays comes from sky which give you boost in bandagi, therefore not only Ismailis but Hindu rishis, sufis also prefer morning time.

Simple answer - because it is the farman of the Imam.

no other reason needed.

Actually Baitul Khayal bandagi is restricted to 4.00 AM, because it affords the best chance of success. So for those who have taken Bol, they should practice it at 4.00 as per Farman.

However one can practice remembrance at all times. Baitul Khayal is an extra boost, is voluntary and is meant only for those who have the resources and the commitment.

but that has been ordained by the farman of the imam right?..if he were to say do bandagi at 2 pm...we'd be bound to do it.

Yes, the 4.00 AM has been ordained by the Imam for Baitul Khayal. In his GJ Farmans MHI emphasised the need to remember whenever one finds free time from worldly responsibilities.

I must say this is exactly what hazir imam doesn't want you to be like. Follow him diligently? Yes. Become a parrot? No.

If he had not given you a time, what then? 4AM wasn't only a requisite time because our Imam says so, it also is, logically the best time to perform meditation given your mindset throughout the 24-hour period (as KM referred to).

So what happens when the Imam makes a farman that doesn't agree with your logic? will you follow it? or not follow it?

Always keep in mind that the Imam knows more..infinitely more than all of us combined at any given point in time.

and how do you know what the Imam wants us to be like?

Intellect leads one to faith and faith is sustained by love..not intellect.

Take it easy shams. I think it's rather obvious that one would follow the Firmans. That's why JKs continue to have it 4am - which is a time that works for most people, most of the time.

MHI also provided an explanation as well - i.e. it is a time that has the least wordly distractions.

I think more importantly is the matter of intention. If you are a doctor or a policeman who is working the night shift, clearly, doing bandagi at 4am would not work. you would likely do it at another time that works best for you in the mean time.

Does anyone know of a Farman made by our Imam telling someone it is OK for them to do bandagi at times other than 4-5 am

Shams, I can easily ask: Does any one know of a farman that says its NOT okay to meditate between 4-5am?

I hands down agree with MHI's firman - and I interpret it as saying that 4-5am are the ideal times of doing bandagi, because, as HE says it - those are times where there is minimal distractions. Hence allowing JKs to be open during those times.

But that is not the same as saying that 4-5am are the ONLY times of connecting with higher spirit. Afterall, the creater is beyond any time and space. why would he only avail himself to you at 4-5am?

Following MHI's firmans are mandatory upon all of us. There are no doubts about that. But careful about you interpret them, or at least, how you impose your views about them.

Intellect leads to faith? what about all the non-intellectual Ismailis? is their faith weak?

At the very least, you need to have a good heart, do good deeds, and have good intentions. i think that increases your chances. then as per MHI's guidance that time is the time when there is minimal distractions to engage in reflection.

If you were at a cottage, or on top of a mountain, or in a cave, away from any type of human civilization for a long/short period of time, i bet you'd have the whole day to yourself with minimal distractions.

Bandagi prohibited from 4-5am

Post by shamsu »

For the sake of arguement, Yes it is not OK to do bandagi from 4-5 am if you are expecting children or are ill.
There are Farmans saying if you are stressed about something you should not do Bandagi.
