Why? Why did he disapear and left all his followers alone on this earth without a guide?
according to our sister branch [ithna sharis] their 12th imam i.e imam al mehdi went into occultation and will reappear when the world is in utter misery.

their belief matches with that of christians who believe that christ will come to protect/save his people before judgement day.

according to me, nobody will come before judgement day because there cannot be 2 imams present at one time , and the job of the imam is to guide his people and so far we have that unbroken line of imamat that guides us .

chrisitans wanted something to protect their religion or their fabricated side of story, hence they said son of god[jesus] will come before judgement day and will save his people and they all will be granted heaven ......i asked my christian friend

WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO DIE BEFORE HIS ARRIVAL ?

he couldnt answer !!!!!!!

In Ehtijaj-e-Tabrasi, which is among the most reliable books of the Shias a saying of their ninth Imam, Mohammad bin Ali bin Musa, has been reproduced which says about their Last Imam that:

“One of the unique things about him will be that his birth will take place secretly and people will not know about it and he will not be visible to people. From the four corners of the world three hundred and thirteen companions will gather round him, exactly equal to the number of Muslims who fought in the Battle of Badr. When 313 earnest and devoted persons will collect round him, God will reveal the Imam i.e., he will come out of the cave and begin his mission...."

Simon Peter in Ginans

Dear Shiraz.virani:

Thank you for your reply. The ginan in which Simon Peter is mentioned as the descendant of Aaron is in called Gavantri. It is a granth by Pir Sadardin.

Sincerely,

"...which cave ?..."

Good question....unfortunately I cannot answer...It is significant that the appearance of the Absent Imam having not taken place as yet can mean, in the light of the saying of Imam Mohammad bin Ali bin Musa, that during all these eleven hundred and fifty years since 260 A.H., 313 truthful and sincere Shias have not been available who could stand up for their Absent Imam, otherwise he would have, surely, emerged from the cave (whichever cave that is there). It is worth asking whether you agree with this conclusion or not ?

We also used to recite the name of Simon Peter in our old dua in the list of the Imams - Shimun u Shafa..very similar to his Hebrew name.

Oh...so according to them, there's still a lot more utter misery to come, and he won't come out of the cave until he's seen enough of it. lol

Come on folks - where is the tolerance and plurality that our Imam preaches? ...let's refrain from making fun of other sects/faiths.
