I heard Abu Aly Waiz in which he was discussing the sins done without any intention and sins done deliberately. He told of a incident where Imam was taking up a mehmani where a murid came and asked for forgiveness of his sins, Imam replied you're humans and humans do commit sins. He said it again and again Imam's answer was same. Third time he said it again and then Imam said look (there was a child near and he had a handkerchief in his hands. Imam took the handkerchief and told that murid when you commit a sin which you're not aware of that it's a sin I ignore those sins and don't punish you. But when you do any sin deliberately knowing that it's not good then I punish you for it.
Now what I want to ask is that, as we Muslims keep in mind that we should be doing good deeds and stay away from bad deeds. But in countries like America where they believe in GOD but not at all religious (many) or many dont even believe in him. There young people or aged men are involved in pre-marital intercourse, drinking, smoking and they call it Freedom and they dont find it bad because they don't know whats good and what's bad.
So like us, are they accounted for sins too ? Zina is freedom for them and it's not at all a sin there. But Zina is a sin.

Re: Sins committed by Not-So-Religious
Yes! every one is accountable, Remember in the incident, (a murid came and asked for forgiveness of his sins) we only know what Imam and Murid had discussing but don’t know for which sin murid is asking forgiveness…! (Imam replied you're humans and humans do commit sins) it means Imam forgives Human not animal or saytan! To get forgiveness an animal must first become Human and sincerely ask forgiveness from Allah… although Allah has All rights and he is Master of His will, Allah is all forgiving, If Allah wills He forgives even Animals…st0necol wrote:I heard Abu Aly Waiz in which he was discussing the sins done without any intention and sins done deliberately. Just to understand my point you must understand, these three creatures Angle, beast and Human.
I will use a hadith of Prophet and Rumi’s comments on it, Page No: 165 to 166, source: John, Baldock. The Essence of Rumi . London: Eagle Editions Limited, 2006.
“Hadith of Prophet! According to which, creatures can be divided into three kinds: ‘God created the angles and placed within them the intellect, and He created the beasts and placed within them sensuality, and He created the children of Adam and placed within them both intellect and sensuality. So the one whose intellect prevails over his sensuality is higher then the angles, and the one whose sensuality prevails over his intellect is lower than the beasts’
Rumi’s commentary on this hadith!
There are three kinds of creatures.
First are the angles, who are pure intelligence. It is their nature to be constantly mindful of God, to worship and obey Him. This is what sustains them. It is both their food and their means of life. In this they are like fish who lives in water, whose life comes from the water, and whose bed and pillow are the water. Angels are under no obligation to do what they do. They are pure light and free from lust, so they do not have to struggle with sensual passions. Their obedience to God is not regarded as obedience, for it is in their nature and they cannot be otherwise.
The second kind are the beasts, who are pure lust and lacking in intelligence. They are like an animal grown fat from eating, who sees nothing but its stable and its fodder. They too are under no obligation to so what they do.
The third kind are human beings, the descendants of Adam, who are combination of intelligence and lust. They are half-angle, half-ass; half-serpent, half-fish. Their as-half draws them toward what ever is low; their angelic-half draws them toward the light. Their fish-half draws them towards water, their serpent-half draws them towards earth. Angles and beasts are free of conflict and struggle – the angles because of their knowledge, the beasts because of their ignorance – and between the two lies the human being whose lot is to endure a constant tug of war. ‘He whose intellect overcomes his lust is higher than angles: He whose lust overcomes his lust is lower than the beasts.’
Moreover, through the trails it has undergone, the human race has been divided. Although they are all have human form, in reality human beings have developed into three communities. Those in the first group have become completely submerged [in the ocean] and, like Jesus, have become totally angelic and pure light. These are the prophets and the saints. They form is that of Adam, but their essence is Gabriel. They are free of fear and hope, anger, sensual passion, and argument. They are also free of discipline, asceticism, and self-mortification. It is as thought they were not even born of the children of Adam.
The second group comprises those whose intellects have been so overcome by their lust that they have become totally bestial and taken on the nature of the ass. The qualities of Gabriel were in them once, but these have flown. Whoever is bereft of spirit is [spiritually] dead; when his spirit is bereft of angelic qualities, he becomes as ass. Yet he suffers more anxiety than the beasts, for the cunning and fraudulent deception which he spins is not produced by any other animal. Weaving gold-embroidered robes, taking pearls from the seabed, the arts of geometry and astronomy, and the sciences of medicine and philosophy are all connected with this world, and do not bring us any nearer to the seventh heaven. These things build a worldly stable for the ox and camel, but in order to harbour their animal nature for a while longer these imbeciles describe them as ’mysteries’. Because their animal nature, they know only the sleep of the ignorance and their perception of reality is upside-down. They had the capacity for transformation, but they have lost it. They are the lowest of the low. Avoid them.
There remains the third group. These are the people engaged in the struggle between their animal and angelic natures. They experience a degree of anguish and distress, and are not content with their current way of life. These are the believers. The saints are waiting for them, to bring them to their own station and make them equal to themselves. The devils lie in wait for them too, to drag them down with them to the lowest of the low.”
Religious guidelines (Halah and Haram) are for us to follow and if someone doesn’t follow them or doesn’t believe they will have problems, just check the increase in Aids Patients each year, call it as freedom or XYZ the youth behaviour is unacceptable at some places and they are becoming irresponsible… Last year a study suggested UK youth among worst in Europe(http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6108302.stm) and other countries are not behind this year in France Riots continued… you can always see in tube stations and in train short stories or Quotation teaching ethics to control youth!
Everyone is accountable even if they accept it or not! Take a cup of Milk add a drop of Alcohol in it, will you say now that the Milk is pure? You can’t. The drop of Alcohol must become Milk to become pure and this can only be down by Allah that’s where Prophet’s, Imam’s, Saint’s come into Picture, to be forgiven one must become Human first! Or else face the problems which come around you which we don’t have knowledge off!

I belong to this group. 7 months ago I left porn, was a addict. Since then my mind is not at rest. Constantly those scenes are in my mind. But now I am regular in Jamatkhana and all but in a few days i've watched it again 2-3 times and i feel on both sides. Restricted and frustrated. There's a clash going inside me, one side says it's ok, another says it's wrong! that my mowla is watching me but still the clash of two thinkings disturbs me that much and when i watch it...i shiver for 1-2 mins...but then i feel my mind gets rest!!
Not at rest, I am trying Bandagi now for a couple of days now. I just pray my sins are forgiven for all I think and do regarding porn. I've now knowledge that it's haram and i am really not content with my current way of life.
I just gave a thought about those Westerners, who lived in this way and died like this too. I mean there at the age of 50 too despite of having a family, they won't mind having intercourse with their colleagues etc. And they've no guilt in it. I was reading an article in BBC on intercourse and outside sex. A couple of them told that when they're happy with their wifes they go outside, and still having a happy family. The youth is seriously doing lots of stupidities.
I read somewhere about an interview of ex-pornstar and she said in all the years she worked, she never saw any pornstar happy. I am surprised, they do it on their own will (In America) and yet they're not happy. It's quick money and they suffer through lots of pains. Most youngsters are not happy even if they are loving the freedom.

You are not punished for your sins but you're punished by your sins. - I think Mowla Aly said it (am i right?)
And we are punished by our sins. It's all right. Three years of porno has made me mentally-sick. I guess it's the time where I am being punished by my sins. I can't find peace except Jamatkhana. When I go to Jamatkhana, it seems all my worries are gone. I feel cool from inside. The punishment is maybe the consequences we face because of our sins.

Even I belong to third group, in fact most of us are from this group, Human is weak at the same time equally strong to overcome weakness!
When I was a kid, when I had nightmares my mom use to tell me its just a dream and next time if someone tries to hurt you fight with it in the dream why do you fear it and read Ayatal kurshi and blow air on my face, as I grow up they were different Fear coming up to me. one of them was Darkness, one day I was alone at home and electricity went off, I didn’t had a choice then to stay alone in dark, after facing darkness that night I stopped fearing it. Then fear of failure (exams etc etc) it continued…. One day when I wanted to apply for conversion my friend stopped me and said “don’t you fear society and other effect by your decision” I replied I am not doing anything wrong so why should I fear, I am accountable to myself first and after death I m accountable to Allah not to this society, your think of today about society not about me and Allah… then one of the biggest fear I faced, it the fear of losing faith but soon I overcame it as I started believing that the one who gave me faith is responsible of protecting it I don’t have to fear losing anything. And one day they was fear of Death people asked me “how do you live alone in that house” as my roommate died by Heart attack and I had to live in the apartment alone, I replied; I spend my life’s good time with him, he didn’t hurt me any time he was helpful to me all these years as a brother then why will he hurt me after his death but this was just my explanation to people, I use to fear during nights when I woke up and felt alone and my mind could picture my roommates dead body in the room, it was horrifying! I use to start computer and put Mowla’s photo on monitor and seat watching it and fell asleep…. In all the fears I face from first day till today I never felt alone because when I didn’t had faith I have my mother to help me when I physically lost my mother my faith helped me Allahhmdulila… out of all fear the one which most bothered me is that there is a beast in me which has broke someone’s trust, which made someone cry, the behaviour of this beast was clearly seen as back line on a white wall, after realising this personality I was terrified that even I can do mistake and hurt someone. I checked books to know why? then I read a hadith of Prophet in which he was asked about saytan and prophet replied everyone has two saytan’s, when asked again do you also have two saytan’s Prophet replied yes but I made them Muslim. I didn’t knew abt two but I knew about one which has hurt me and made someone cry, I wanted this saytan to become Muslim then I prayed to Allah to convert this sayatan into Muslim n also to paint this saytan with Noor of Hazar Imam, with Noor of Allah…. I am working on it and I still pray to Allah that I must not hurt anyone even if I am following Allah….. I m still working on it, I will be working on it till the day I die!
St0necal we are the spiritual children of Hazar Imam, we are under Direct light of Truth, we have a responsible, we are the once who should be explaining people Right and Wrong, our behaviour must be ethical and accordance to our Imam’s word, its never too late, its good that your attending JK regularly. Animal must die to become human, Human must die to become angle, and angle must die to reach reality….
Valmiki the famous composer of Ramayana was a dacoit and a robber until the day he meet Narada Muni which changed his life!
The great King Ashoka, after witnessing the mass death at the war of Kalinga realised his desire of conquest is wrong and gave it up and dedicated his life in the propagation of Buddhism!
That’s from history but one live story which is rare in news papers as often Islamic is criticised! Just read and know what she feels today……Yvonne Ridley: From captive to convert! (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/3673730.stm)
If you were being interrogated by the Taleban as a suspected US spy, it might be hard to imagine a happy ending. But for journalist Yvonne Ridley, the ordeal in Afghanistan led her to convert to a religion she says is "the biggest and best family in the world". The formerly hard-drinking Sunday school teacher became a Muslim after reading the Koran on her release. She now describes radical cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri as "quite sweet really" and says the Taleban have suffered an unfair press. Working as a reporter for the Sunday Express in September 2001, Ridley was smuggled from Pakistan across the Afghan border. But her cover was blown when she fell off her donkey in front of a Taleban soldier near Jalalabad, revealing a banned camera underneath her robes.
Her first thought as the furious young man came running towards her?
"Wow - you're gorgeous," she says.
"He had those amazing green eyes that are peculiar to that region of Afghanistan and a beard with a life of its own.
"But fear quickly took over. I did see him again on my way to Pakistan after my release and he waved at me from his car."
Ridley was interrogated for 10 days without being allowed a phone call, and missed her daughter Daisy's ninth birthday.
Of the Taleban, Ridley says: "I couldn't support what they did or believed in, but they were demonised beyond recognition, because you can't drop bombs on nice people."
It has been suggested the 46-year-old is a victim of Stockholm Syndrome, in which hostages take the side of the hostage-takers.
But she says: "I was horrible to my captors. I spat at them and was rude and refused to eat. It wasn't until I was freed that I became interested in Islam."
'Flappy knickers'
Indeed, the Taleban deputy foreign minister was called in when Ridley refused to take her underwear down from the prison washing line, which was in view of soldier's quarters.
"He said, 'Look, if they see those things they will have impure thoughts'."
"Afghanistan was about to be bombed by the richest country in the world and all they were concerned about was my big, flappy, black knickers.
"I realised the US doesn't have to bomb the Taleban - just fly in a regiment of women waving their underwear and they will all run off."
Once she was back in the UK, Ridley turned to the Koran as part of her attempt to understand her experience
I was absolutely blown away by what I was reading - not one dot or squiggle had been changed in 1,400 years.
"I have joined what I consider to be the biggest and best family in the world. When we stick together we are absolutely invincible."
What do her Church of England parents in County Durham make of her new family?
"Initially the reaction of my family and friends was one of horror, but now they can all see how much happier, healthier and fulfilled I am.
"And my mother is delighted I've stopped drinking."
What does Ridley feel about the place of women in Islam?
"There are oppressed women in Muslim countries, but I can take you up the side streets of Tyneside and show you oppressed women there.
"Oppression is cultural, it is not Islamic. The Koran makes it crystal clear that women are equal."
And her new Muslim dress is empowering, she says.
"How liberating is it to be judged for your mind and not the size of your bust or length of your legs."
A single mother who has been married three times, she says Islam has freed her from worry over her love life.
"I no longer sit and wait by the phone for a man to ring and I haven't been stood up for months.
"I have no man stress. For the first time since my teens I don't have that pressure to have a boyfriend or husband." But there has been a phone call from at least one male admirer - north London preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri.
"He said, 'Sister Yvonne, welcome to Islam, congratulations'.
"I explained I hadn't yet taken my final vows and he said, 'Don't be pressured or pushed, the whole community is there for you if you need any help, just call one of the sisters.'
'Straight to hellfire'
"I thought, I can't believe it, this is the fire and brimstone cleric from Finsbury Park mosque and he is quite sweet really.
"I was just about to hang up when he said, 'But there is just one thing I want you to remember. Tomorrow, if you have an accident and die, you will go straight to hellfire'.
"I was so scared that I carried a copy of the vows in my purse until my final conversion last June."
And the hardest part of her new life?
"Praying five times a day. And I am still struggling to give up cigarettes."
