Two Significant Questions

Post by nowroozalisabiti »

Ya Ali Madad,

I have two questions to ask. Any one, who knows the answer, please let me know.
1- In each Farman Mawlana Hazar Imam say “Khanavadan" repeated three times. What that means?
2 - Mawlana Hazar Imam says " I give my fatherhood and motherhood blessings for all the Jamat and ...."

Ya Ali Madad

Your questions are quite relevant in the context of the Jamat being in the Golden Jubilee intezaari mode.

Khanavadan is composed of Khana meaning house or abode and vadan meaning prosperity, hence Khanavadan means may your house or abode prosper. Of course when the Imam (or Mukhi/kamadia on his behalf) gives these blessings, prospeirty is alluded to in terms of material and spiritual aspects of life.

When the Imam gives his paternal and maternal blessings, he is alluding to two facets of his authority. On the one hand he is the mazhar of the Essence - the Shah and the mazhar of the Noor - the Pir on the other. Just as the role of a mother in a physical sense is to nurture her children and introduce them to their father the ultimate authority in the family, the Pir is the spiritual nourisher who prepares us for the experience and the recognition of the Shah the ultimate object of our worship.

In a verse of the Ginan Allah ek Khasam Sabuka, Pir Sadardeen tells us: Nabi Muhammad bujo bhaai to tame paamo Imaam meaning know or recognise Nabi Muhammad (the Pir) so that you may attain the Imam(the ultimate object).

These notions are not restricted to our tariqah only. I came across a quote this morning from Ramakishna a Hindu sage which states: "The formless Absolute is my Father, and God with form is my Mother. God reveals Himself in the form which His devotee loves most. His love for the devotee knows no bounds." In Christianity Jesus is considered as the Son who leads his disciples to the Father - the Godhead or the Essence.

For further explanation there is a thread in this forum: Doctrines --> Pir and Prophet. It contains links to relevant information.

Ya Ali Madaad,

This link has explained me why Hazar Imam blesses followers with the terms Parental (Mustaqar) and Maternal (Mustawda) loving blessing.
