A confused person...

Post by shan04 »

I dont know if this topic been posted or not. For one I don't attend khane on regular basis. Over the years I have this tick in the back of my head from people who say that Islam, Christainity, Judiasm or any other religions are the way to be one with god, but since man has written all the holy book, how can one say that "god" has told us to follow this path? how can you say Homosexuality is a sin since "god" told his messenger to tell the world. when you say god place adam and eve in this world, a man and a woman, how does one know that that truely happened? and also similarly with ginan's, since ginan's were written by pirs how can you say god told them that somethings are wrong. to me sins like lying, stealing, and other things are ethics of human nature.

It may seem as if im arguing the existiance of god, maybe im trying to find a fact over faith, maybe I have lost my faith? but im not arguing, im just trying to find an answer, answers on how one can say such things are a sin when one follows guides written by man. for example when Muhammed recieved the revalation from allah did he physically wrote down every single thing word for word and make what is today the quran muslim follow, or did Muhammed tell other people about his revalation and a hand few of those people wrote down, truthfully it's hard to remember everything word for word so is it possible that most of the messages were some how misplaced or "added" in to benefit society?

You are asking basic elementary questions about faith and its significance in our life. I would suggest that you read the chapter in the "Memoirs of Agakhan" titled "Islam the Religion of My Ancestors" written by Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah. It can be accessed at:

Answers to your confusion!!!

Hi Shan04,

YAA ALI MADAD.
Well to throw upon some light to your questions.
Here is goes.
I assume that you are an Ismaili.
If so, then why do you want anything when you have THE HAZAR IMAM of the time.Ismaili mahazab can be defined in one sentence as "OBEDIENCE TO MOWLANA HAZAR IMAM's Firman".This covers everything DIN(spiritual) - DUNIYA(worldy) matters.
Regarding your skepticism about what happened in the past.
The way you are putting forward your point if one goes by that same logic you cannot trust anything in this world.
History is never ever perfect.The primary reason been the alteration of the contents of what you read about the past(history) by various people of different generations.I am not saying that you cannot believe in History at all.One needs to study things properly and try to deduce things from the correct sources.
Hope it answers some of your questions

Regards,
Irfan

Hi shan04,
Do not be confused, your search for truth is remarkable. To some extend,Truth can not be judged my guides written by Ordinary Man,but can be judged by guides of Sufis or Pirs or RAHBAR who know all facts for true meaning of life.

I do agree with Irfan Kadiwal in true sense as being Ismaili.Be firm on firmans of GUID,RaHBar(Our HolyIMAM). I appriciate you if you attend JK regularly you will get ALL answers from your own experience which is more than written or heard.

Dear Mr. Confuse

He (The Prophet) said, 'My Lord, help me because of their calling me a liar!'
He (Allah) said, 'In a short while they will be full of regret.'
(Surat al-Muminun: 39-40)

What do you think ? if Allah willed he would have made us in a single religion but For believers Allah Gave the faith but for non-believer he gave confusions, when you ask these kind of question to yourselve, Do you know who is whispering in your mind? in these types of logics? now think about it again.

And if your Lord had so willed, He could surely have made mankind one Ummah [nation or community (following one religion only i.e. Islâm)], but they will not cease to disagree. - [Al Quran 11:118]

Allah send Prophets and Imam to lead people who Allah wanted to Lead. You can not Guide Any one if you want, But it is Allah who guide whoever he want to, otherwise Allah put the cover on there mind.

You cannot guide those you would like to, but Allah guides those He wills. He has best knowledge of the guided. (Surat al-Qasas, 28:56)

Do you know what is the Greatest gift for a momin ?? ... "It is Faith". If you lost the faith everything is lost.
God is testing all of us, thru it.

If your faith is getting lost, i suggest, you should do following thingz
* Do not Lie
* Control You anger
* Do not Back Bite Each Other
* Do not see women in a wrong sense
* Don't be jealous
* Don't be greedy
* Don't Be Proud with your knowledge/or anyother blessings you have

these points will help you build your faith stronger..

As you See Faith is very very Important, it is like a Diamond or a Gold for a Momin, in Quran Allah says

We have warned you of an imminent punishment on the Day when a man will see what he has done, and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, if only I were dust!" (Surat an-Naba': 40)

If only you could see when they are standing before the Fire and saying, "Oh! If only we could be sent back again, we would not deny the Signs of our Lord and we would be among the believers." (Surat al-An'am: 27)

They will say, "If only we had really listened and used our intellect, we would not have been Companions of the Blaze." (Surat al-Mulk: 10)

I Hope this will Help

Good luck

Just follow the refined God rules (Islam) to success in life and after life ..... Well every thing should be logically understandable and Shiia Islam is based on "AQAAL" or "logic and proof" ....... like you I always expect a logical answer to question in my mind, but limitations my knowledge and "Processing power" usually answer me to follow "default settings" ;)
