Re: Jesus in India
This is pretty much common knowledge to educated Hindus. My first roommate (MANY years ago) was a Hindu from Guyana. She said there was substantial proof that Jesus had traveled throughout India. This does make sense - if you read the Koran, if Jesus didn't die on the cross, he had to have gone some...

WAKEUP RUDENESS
Is there any way you can get rid of this crazy WAKEUP dude in all his e-incarnations? While it's fun answering his silliness, this is supposed to be an Ismaili site. There are gazillion Christian churches and websites out there. It is wrong and illegal to harrass us. I would rather some decent discu...

So where is this guy?
It is interesting to note that Nasiruddin Hunzai's website is down.
Is he in hiding, or do people know where he is?

Re: MARRIAGE
Marriage is just a contract in Islam, never a sacrament like in Christianity.

Thanks
Thanks for letting us know about this. Sounds like he is Marifati who went power crazy. This is explained in "The Book of Sufi Healing," by Hakim Chishti.

Re: Why is pork forbidden in Islam?
FYI, when I was a kid we moved to the mid-west USA. Most of the neighbors had 5 acre farms. The neighbors informed us that if I wanted to play on the property across the street where they raised a couple of pigs I would have to get a worm shot every three months.

Wahhabis have taken over....
Maybe that's what's happening in Orange County, Ca, but not in the rest of the USA. Where I live (northern VA, metro DC) if you're not Wahhabi you're not considered a Muslim. The Saudis have taken over all the mosques. Even my Palestinian friends who wear hijab won't go to the mosques because they d...

hijab
"Does Mowlana Hazar Imam explicitly said that no Ismaili women should wear Hijab/Purdah/Naqab?? I would like to see. " Imam SMS made a farman about 1897 banning Purdah. Even his mother, Lady Ali Shah, had to take it off - for good. Maybe someone else can find the farman, and also the quote...

bewildered
Yes, I am.
I am bewildered why Ismailis, when given a special zikr formula that's NOT in the books (at least it's not in any of the zikr books I've read), make light of it, even twist it around, and just keep doing what they were doing before.

Zikr Formula per MHI's recent visit
MHI gave out a Zikr formula during the AM Toronto visit, he modulated it during the other 3 deedars. I was fortunate enough to receive it in an email. It amazes me that so many EDUCATED Ismailies make light of it. One in particular very educated Ismaili is sending out emails with 'prayer cards' with...

creepy polcies of tariqa board
Yes, thinks sounds really sick, like a cult, really. But I do think these policies will change within the next couple of years. I know the proper Salwaat (better than you guys), I have the Holy Du'a memorized, I understand most of it in Arabic - do you? I can't enter a JK, but I can pray at home. I ...

Re: Nisabe Dasond
Dasond, tithing, is a BASIC metaphysical concept. The more you give, the more you get. Not just in money, but in time, or anything you give to someone who is in need (whatever the need). This is not religious BS, it's METAPHYSICAL LAW.

Re: First part of Dua
The Imams are the Evidence that Allah has not left us alone to ourselves without His guidance after the revelation of the Qur'an, i.e., the fact that we have the Hazaar Imams to guide us means we have a living, breathing faith.

I have a question, and I don't know if this is the proper forum to ask it of the moderators. This site is tremendous, especially the history section. Toronto Firman
"Even in his Firman, the mention of thinking of your faith of prayer time only mentioned calling the name of Muhammed, Ali, and the Imams, and made absolutely no mention of Allah himself." There may be a good metaphysical reason for this. Safety. Even a Southern Baptist preacher, ...
