Guru Nanak

Ya Ali Madad

I have heard that Guru Nanak was a student of one of our Imams. Is this true? If anyone can elaborate on this. Thank you

Astrology

Ya Ali Madad! I was wondering if astrology is forbidden in Ismailism....I have heard it was but was not sure why. I was also wondering why it would be as it is a study not just a random prediction but based on the study of the stars. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Ya Ali Madad!

Hazrat Salman Farsi

Ya Ali Madad

I have heard briefly from stories that Hazrat Salman Farsi(as) was really in his true form arch-angel Jibrail. Is this true, and could anyone elaborate more on this?

Thank you, and Ya Ali Madad

Wearing Gold for Men

Ya Ali Madad, dear brothers and sisters, I was wondering if men are allowed to wear gold. I am asking this because many Sunnis have told me that wearing gold is 'haram' and I was wondering if this is true. It is said that wearing gold and silk was made haram by our Prophet (saws). With Regards, Arsh...

Okay everybody, no need to get fiesty. I just think kinnare was just trying to prove a point about human nature and how much people lie on a day to day basis. I think it is okay to joke around once in a while...don't you?

Significance of Yaa Ali Madad

Yaa Ali Madad I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to explain the significance of Yaa Ali Madad to a non-Shia Muslim. It would be helpful to send links to other parts of the forum that answer this question. I want to know how to explain to other sects of Islam besides Shia why we do not ask A...

Zubair. You seem like a very intelligent person. I welcome you as my spiritual brother, although I am a little confused on the bases of your belief. You say that you believe in the farmans of the Hazar Imam, yet you are not following them. Our salat has been transformed and evolved ever since the ti...

oh alright. I was just wondering because in the "Imams pre-Adam" thread under the doctrines topic there comes a "Natiq-Imam" after every seven Imams who makes his role open in a way, such as how Hazar Imam has done so much not only for the Ismailis, but for the whole umma.

Ithna Asharis (The Twelvers)

I was just wondering, when the Ithas bring up a hadith which they claim the Prophet said that "There will be 12 Imams or khalifa after me", does anyone think it refers to the Natiq-Imam that we believe comes after every 7 Imams? If so, it could mean that we will have 84 Imams? Please do no...

I was wondering if anyone here knew if there are batini meanings when Allah says "wash you faces, and your hands up to the elbows, and lightly rub your heads and (wash) your feet up to the ankles". Are there any hidden meanings to this? Or does it just mean be clean for prayer

But when Mowla Ali said "I am the speaking Quran" doesn't that mean that even though he is the source of the Quran, that he interprets it, since the Quran, is not just the qitab we have, but rather revelation of God as a whole which?

I am not sure if what I am saying is right, as I am much less knowledgeable than other people who have said things in this thread, and I am not also trying to take sides, as I do not know what is right when talking about wazzu/wudu. However, when reading the last few posts, I remembered the words of...
